The 4th of July is my second favorite holiday (Christmas being number one, of course) and I look forward to it every year. There is just something so spectacular about waking up the morning of the 4th and knowing that everyone is on the same page that day; celebrating our country and our freedom. I love everything that comes along with the 4th: BBQ's, parades, fairs, fireworks, carnivals and, of course, dressing up in my red, white and blues. Over the last few years and participating in various types of celebrations in Idaho, Utah, New Hampshire, and Boston, I have realized that there are three types of people who dress up for the 4th of July and then, of course, . . .

Affiliate links at no cost to you. thanks for supporting HTC! Hey there. It's been a hot second. I gave an update on Instagram a couple days ago as to why it's been quiet around these parts for a week, but the short run of the matter is that I got burnt out and discouraged and had to throw myself a bit of a pity party. As much as I dislike feeling super down and out, I've learned that I truly have to let myself feel those emotions (instead of burying and ignoring them) so that I can process them. It's the only way I've been able to pick myself back up and move forward after being in a funk - and to be honest, I've learned that I have to CHOOSE to get out of a . . .
*Affiliate codes used. Thank you for supporting Hey There, Chelsie HAPPY SECOND DAY OF SUMMER AND HAPPY ALMOST 4th OF JULY! I don't know about you, but even though this year is literally flying by, I'm so, so stoked that it's summertime and that the 4th of July is around the corner. It's probably my 3rd favorite holiday of the year (Christmas being number one and Thanksgiving being number two, obviously.) Growing up, we would spend the 4th having big BBQ's at my grandparents' house, swim in their pool, and go watch the fireworks all together as a family. I have nothing but fond memories of the 4th and it's been really fun to create memories and traditions with . . .
*affiliate links Thewhat I bought in a post yesterday is in FULL swing, and yes, I have already spent way more then I should have. What can I say? I was very excited to what I bought in a post yesterday and splurging on the Barefoot Dreams Cardigan was one of the best choices I've ever made. No, I won't blow up the blog or Instagram TOO much with #nsale picks, but I shared what I bought in a post yesterday that you can check out here, and I'll be doing a try-on post once all my orders come in for those who are interested in shopping it. "Life starts over again when it gets crisp in the fall." Those words have literally been on repeat in my head for weeks on end. It's absolutely no secret that I love fall. I LOVE FALL. I mean, I could scream it from the rooftops and I still don't think it would adequately express how much I freaking love fall. Most people do, but being a born & raised New Englander, loving fall is in my blood. Autumn is part of my soul. Although I love pumpkin spice everything, blanket scarves, boots, and hot cocoa, one of my favorite things about fall, is that every year, when it comes, it feels like a fresh start. I'm not sure exactly what it is that makes it feel like . . .
Now that the 4th of July has come and gone, it's really hit me that the year is halfway over! Half of me is a little bummed that the summer is going by so fast and the other half of me is SO excited because, in just a couple short months, I can break out all my pumpkin candles and Christmas decorations! #sorrynotsorry. Here's what's been going on in life, here on the blog, and around the web during June: Happenings //OUR BIG NEWS: If you don't follow me on snapchat (@cwhit145) then you probably haven't heard that the little Carr family are moving to Las Vegas in September! What is 101 in 1001? It's a bucket list of sorts-a list of 101 tasks to be completed in 1001 days. I stumbled across this idea in the blog world when I stumbled across Hello Rigby; a blog after my own heart: a girl and her dog. I have always liked the idea of having a list of big goals but really like that this list gives me the motivation to complete them all in 1001 days, instead of waiting until I die. I asked D if he would do it with me, and he was all for it! Some of the goals we came up with are more for him and some are more for me, but as long as we are supporting each other, I figure we can accomplish them all! We love that we have a list to . . .
