I am so excited to have Lizzie from The Kindhearted guest posting today! Lizzie was one of my sponsors last month and I had so much fun getting to know her last month! She's currently living in California and studying to teach English (a girl after my own heart) and she's super talented with hair! Today, she's sharing this beautiful and romantic double braided updo tutorial! Hey friends it's Lizzie - I am so excited to show you how to re-create this fun and easy double braided updo. This hairstyle here is perfect for those days when you are on the go but still want to look cute. The best part is that it can all be done in 7 easy steps. It is so fast, that you . . .
I'm linking up with Betsy at Heaven's to Betsy for another round of The Guys Behind the Blog. Dustin really liked being interviewed last month and was super excited when I asked him if he would do it again. He's a great guy to have behind my blog. Here's the truth: my blog wouldn't be possible without him. He's providing me with a little extra cash to be able to run it (after I pitched him my ideas a-la Shark Tank). I'm using that cash to buy products to try out, ingredients to use on new recipes, and money to participate in giveaways. Even though I haven't made any money off my blog, he can see how happy it makes me to work hard on something I love and . . .
Even though I had gone through my first round of chemo, had dropped 20 pounds in a week and ended up back in the hospital for a hydration transfusion because my sodium levels had dropped drastically, it was still hard for me to believe I had cancer. Sure, I was a little skinnier and super pale, but anyone who saw me passing by wouldn't know about the war raging in my body and the six inch tumor I named Ricardo growing in my leg. I still looked like a regular 15 year old girl, granted a little bit of a rebel one, because of the bright red hair. I died my hair fire engine red the day after I was diagnosed. My "last hurrah" before it all came out, although it . . .
This was my first month having sponsors for Life with Rosie and I couldn't be happier about the girls who put their banners on my sidebar! I've made some great friendships and have learned from all of them, and wanted to introduce you all to a few new blogs out there that you should be reading! Ashley from Keeping Up With Ashley and Cody is currently studying to be a teacher and blogs about her life, marriage and everything between. She's doing a different version of a health challenge and wrote about it all here. Lizzie at The Kindhearted is so talented with her words and photographs. She's also a hair magician and I loved this simple but classic hair . . .
February is almost over! Here is a round up of all the things/products that were IN for me and the things that were most definitely OUT! IN: The Wet Hair Brush - Guys, this brush has changed EVERYTHING for my hair. My hair is probably the worst tangly mess every whenever I get out of the shower and I usually just take a giant paddle brush to it and wretch it through. I use the wet brush in the shower after putting in my conditioner and it just cuts through my hair like a knife through butter. The bristles are SUPER flexible so instead of getting caught in the tangles, they bend with it and slowly work the snarls through. Life saver. Unique 3D . . .
