Accessorizing with Metallics

Iāve come to the realization that I have a lot of black and white. Black makes sense because itās slimming and because I lived in cold Idaho for 6 years where we barely saw the light of summer. But white? Iām such a messy person and have learned the hard way to always have a tide-to-go pen on me because I canāt be trusted to make it through a day without spilling something on myself. Regardless, as I was packing up my closet for out next move, I realized that I have a lot of of white and black, which naturally go well together, but seem kind of boring and plain to me. I wanted to find a way to dress these colors up since I have so much of them and decided that adding in a pop of color with lotās of metallics was the way to go!
I have been drooling over this coral and gold statement necklace at Target for literally months. Every time I go there (which is 2-3 times a week) I stop by and look at it. Itās a little more pricy than I would normally spend on an necklace, (16.00) but knowing I needed something bold to jazz up all my neutral colors, I finally bought it. I added gold studs and gold bangles to keep the metallic theme going, and of course, had to wear a red lip to carry the color into my face!

This necklace is seriously my new favorite piece of jewelry and I love the brightness it brings to my white and black. Iāve never really thought about accessorizing with metallics before; but Iām thinking that itās my new favorite thing to do!
