Must-Have Vacuum For Dog Owners

Friends. Family. Strangers. Let me introduce you to my new best friend: the DEEBOT OZMO 950 from Ecovacs. I know it sounds dramatic, but I mean it when I say that this little robotic vacuum has completely and totally changed my life and I think it should be a MUST-HAVE vacuum for dog owners. Let me explain:
When we moved into the new house back in April, we were thrilled that the main floor was all hardwood, especially by the door leading out to the back yard. Our previous home had carpet by the back door and the amount of mud and dirt that the dogs dragged in daily turned the cream-colored carpet to a permanent shade of dirty grey. We were convinced that all’s we would need to do is mop the main floor every once in a while, but that the majority of our obviously dirty floor days were over. Little did I know that the hardwood floors would soon become a paradise for what I like to call: Rosie Dust Bunnies. Before I knew it, I was noticing clumps of Rosie’s hair floating around the floor, and hiding out underneath the kitchen table, by the bar stools, and in the corners of the living room. I was literally vacuuming every day to try to keep them under control and every day there would be more dust bunnies to take care of. And that was on top of mopping my floors at least every 3-4 days because, as it turns out, dirty paws still make a mess on hardwood floors in the form of pawprints everywhere.
I felt like I was spending so much time trying to stay on top of cleaning my floors and keeping the Rosie Dust Bunnies under control that I was beginning to be stricter about how often the dogs could go outside and how long they could be out there. I even cried real tears when Teddy came inside one day after being out for 10 minutes and somehow drag in a huge clump of dirt and grass RIGHT after I mopped. Something had to change!
And then, the Deebot entered my life about a month ago and life completely changed. I’ve always been skeptical of robotic vacuums and was worried that they were more gimmicky than effective but at this point, I was willing to give anything a try to give me my life back. So, I unpacked the little guy from his box, set up his charging station and downloaded the app. I waited for it to charge and then excitedly turned it on to see what would happen.
I was immediately blown away by the technology in this little robot. It has a fancy SmartNavi 3.0TM with updated virtual boundaries and multi-
floor mapping, which basically means that it can map out the entire floor plan of your floor, show it on the app and then track it’s cleaning path to make sure it cleans every corner. It’s also the thinnest model that Ecovac has, so it’s also able to get under almost ALL of my furniture to clean up any lurking Rosie dust bunnies. Oh, and the most exciting part about this specific model? It’s two-in-one mopping and vacuuming with 3 hours of run time. That’s right. It MOPS TOO! No more doggy paw prints on the hardwood floors.
Every night, at 5:30 PM, my little Deebot turns on according to the schedule I set up on the app and it quietly chugs along while I cook dinner, do the dishes, and sit down in front of the TV to catch up on Brooklyn 99. I’m able to get SO MUCH DONE during that 35 minute time span and it’s amazing how much having that time back in my life has made a difference.
So, basically, doggo owners in search of a solution to the dog hair situation without having to spend time every day trying to spend on top of it: the Deebot is your solution. And yes, it REALLY WORKS!
