This post is a little early this month, but hey, I like being on top of things! This last month has been such an incredible time for me. June was the first month of me committing to my blog FULL time and I am happy to say that I was able to double my page views and collaborate with some pretty amazing companies! It’s been amazing to see some results from all my hard work and I’ve never been so sure of my choice to quit my job. So many of you have reached out to me and I’ve made some great new friends which has made this new “job” that much sweeter. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for supporting me here! You are helping to make my dreams come true!
Anyway, here is how my June goals shaped up:
Health/Go to the gym 3x a week: Pretty close to a success! We made it at least twice a week and three times more than once! We’ve been swimming laps at the pool (great therapy for my knee) and I can feel my core getting stronger!
Read/7 Books: I have 5 done and I’m hoping to squeeze two more in this week! If not, I’m still super happy that I’ve been able to dedicate more time to reading!
Blog/Post 5 times a week: I only missed one post and that was last week when the internet went down for the whole night. I’m really proud of myself for keeping myself to my posting schedule and have seen great results from it!
Blog/Instagram Increase: I started June with 705 followers and wanted to end the month at 760…and I’m ending the month at 916 followers! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! I don’t even know how I did it besides trying to post photos that were more thought out and staying on a more consistent schedule.
Personal/Cut Phone Screen Time: Although I still reach for my phone pretty much first thing every morning, I have been able to put my phone away at all dinner times, leave it at home for dates and turn it off and read before going to bed. I still could use some improvement, but I love being unplugged and have noticed a huge difference in my personal life since making an effort to look up.
My July Goals are as follows:
Blog/Get to 1000 followers on Instagram: What a huge feat that would be! I’m launching another giveaway on Instagram next week; so be sure to watch out for that!
Blog/Read a Blog Book: I keep hearing good things about two blogging books and I would like to invest some time into reading them and seeing what I can learn from them!
Blog/Post at least 4 times a week: 5 times a week was a really good challenge, but it was kind of exhausting and it was impossible for me to stay on top of everything else because I was always writing posts. I’m going to cut back to 4 times a week so I can have a day to work on research, listen to webinars and just be!
Personal/Get a new hair style: I’ve gone over a year without coloring my hair (which is a record for me) and I’m ready for something new. I’m going to be visiting one of my best girlfriends in a few weeks who is a talented hair stylist and I can’t wait to get a new look!
Read/5 Books: I got a bunch of new books from my book swap partner, Kayla and from my recent trip to Powell’s City of Books in Portland. So much reading; I can’t wait
Health/Bed by 11:00: I’ve gotten into a terrible habit of staying up until 1:00 working on my blog and it’s definitely wearing me down. Time to get to bed early and get more sleep!
