Stitch Fix March 2016
I’m really behind in sharing this post, but I’m excited to finally be getting it up today! Stitch Fix and I have a love/hate relationship. I love getting mail and I love having someone pick out new clothes and styles for me to try, but minus a few select pieces, I’ve never gotten a box that blew my socks off. I actually took a few months off from Stitch Fix because my last box had been a pretty big disappointment. Back at the end of March, however, I decided to give it another go because it was my birthday and I hoped to get something special to spend my birthday money on.
In case you haven’t heard of Stitch Fix, it’s a pretty fun clothing subscription service. You fill out a style profile and link up a Pinterest board to clothes you like. You pay a $20 dollar styling fee and can write a note with any special requests for specific clothing you may be looking for. A stylist picks out 5 items of clothing and accessories and sends them to you! You have 3 days to try them on in the comfort of your home and then you mail back whatever you don’t like in a prepaid envelope and keep what you do like! The $20 dollar styling fee goes towards anything you want to keep!
For this fix, I requested lots of summery colors in tops and dresses and kept my fingers crossed that I would finally get a fix that blew me out of the water. Think I got what I wished for?
Jolene Zipper Flap Crossbody Bag – $48 dollars.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know by now that I kept this baby. I was so excited to receive an accessory in my box that wasn’t jewelry and the quality of this bag totally blew my mind. The material feels like well worn, supple leather and the color is so unique to a bag. I love the little zipper detail and the size is perfect for being able to carry all the important things without the temptation to put EVERYTHING in it. Because I felt like the quality of the material was so high, I was actually really surprised that the price was under $50 dollars and just felt like I had. to. have. Plus it was my birthday so, yes. I needed it.

Ahleya Eyelet Dress – $88 dollars
The color of this dress is EVERYTHING and it was love at first sight! I wanted this to work out for me in the worst way possible, but, alas, it was just a little too tight in the chest for me. #bigboobproblems It seriously killed me to have to return it, but I knew that it wouldn’t get as much wear for the price if it didn’t fit perfectly. Seriously, so sad about this.

Bowie Solid Dolman Sleeve Top – $58 dollars
Once again, I was so excited to see such a fun and bright color in my box! I get wary of dolman tops because the fit can go wrong in so many ways, but this one fit really well! I just felt like the price was a little too high for a solid color top, as much as I loved it, so it went back.

Kailano V-Neck Tunic – $48 dollars
I’ve never EVER loved a piece from a Stitch Fix as much as I loved this top. The second I saw the print I knew it was mine. Thankfully, the cut and fit on it was super flattering for my figure and I loved the larger sleeves that gave it a bit of a bo-ho vibe. Also, this material is so light and airy, which is perfect for the hot and humid summer I am facing in Louisiana. And seriously, the colors are to die for. I’m so, so happy with this top!

Ludo Cold Shoulder Top – $48 dollars
This was the only top that missed the mark completely for me. I’m just not into the cold shoulder trend (it looks awesome on others but can’t stand it on me) and I wasn’t a fan of the colors. I actually didn’t even try it on, but if you want to see it, my friend Cat got it in one of her recent fixes and she ended up keeping it! It was perfect for her (just not for me!)
Status: Returned
All in all, I’ve never been more pleased with a Stitch Fix and if we weren’t moving and had a bit more money, I may have kept all 4 of the pieces that I loved. I felt like my stylist really nailed my style down (minus the one blip) and gave me exactly what I was asking for. I requested her for my next fix and scheduled one for next month because I finally feel like I’m having success!
