5 Blogs that Inspire Me
I’ve mentioned countless times that my favorite thing about blogging is the community; I love that through my time writing at LWR that I’ve made real friends who constantly encourage me daily.
Another thing that I love about blogging (that goes hand-in-hand with the community) is how inspired I feel every dang day when I open up my bloglovin’ and scroll through my feed. The beauty of blogging is that people have the opportunity to share what they are passionate about and I have access to read about that passion. In turn, I get to share that passion and become passionate, too. Through blogging, I have become inspired to try a new cookie recipe or to go out and adventure to a new restaurant instead of getting the same old Cafe Rio every weekend. Through other blogs, I have become braver with my lipstick colors or have been encouraged to try new products for Rosie that instantly improved her life. Through other blogs, I have learned to taken pause before shaming other women’s feelings or to actively try to spread kindness. Through other blogs, I have learned that it’s okay to fill my closet up with budget friendly pieces and splurge once in a while, or that I can walk out of the door with a full face of makeup or none at all and still be worth something.
Blogging has changed my life, both writing my own and reading others. Today, I wanted to share 5 blogs that inspire me daily, that motivate me to be better in my own life and in my blog life.
HelloRigby, written by Jenn, is the blog that inspired me to start seriously blogging in the first place. I don’t know how I even found Jenn’s blog, but I remember once I did, I was hooked. I would check it every day when I got to work and loved her sense of style, her passion for Rigby and how down to Earth she seemed. It took me forever to get the guts to leave a comment on her blog, she was like a blog superstar in my eyes (still is, let’s be real). Anyway, I love that Jenn has such a clear sense of purpose in her blog; her fashion sense is on point and she inspires me daily to overcome any fears or insecurities I have about being a style/beauty blogger.
Oddly Lovely, written by Cat, is actually a blog I discovered on HelloRigby and started reading before I started blogging. Cat does a little bit of everything (her recipes, book reviews and subscription box reccomendations are always on point) and I love how she tackles the big issues, like gun control and Planned Parenthood with such bravery and honesty. Even if Cat and I don’t see eye-to-eye all the time, I am constantly inspired by her courage to say what needs to be said and to start conversations about things that need to be talked about.
Shanndelier, by Shannon, is my go-to blog for all things wanderlust and food related. I’ve been following Shannon’s blog since it was The Hallway, and have enjoyed seeing her evolve her space to share beautiful photos of her adventures and the recipes that have me believing that I, too, could make donuts from scratch. Shannon has become one of my closest blog friends and I am hoping we can meet soon since I travel through Utah frequently. But in all honesty, her photos of her travels have me feeling all the wanderlust feels and I could stare at them all day.
A Balancing Peach, by Kelsey, is a recent find but it was instant blog love when I started reading. Kelsey’s flat-lay photos are beyond stunning and her passion for all things beauty/skincare/Sephora related is something I share with her (and love reading about.) She’s probably a little creeped out by how obsessed I am with A Balancing Peach, but I just can’t get enough of her blog and her photos. Plus, she has a love for travel and I love living through her travel guide posts!
Helene In Between is another more recent find of mine, but that girl is killing it in blog world. Not only does she come off so authentic in her posts, but she has really stepped it up as a #girlboss and is starting to teach others about blogging. I’m so inspired by her ability to harness passion and make an income off of it!
I’m always looking for new blog to read, so tell me, what blogs inspire you? Have you read a blog post that got you to try something different? Do you read any of the blogs I mentioned here?
