Life, Adventures & Rosie: Volume One
I feel like it’s been a while since I sat down and actually did a personal post! I get so caught up with all my fun makeup posts that I forget to take the time to share a little bit about me! I want you to know that there IS a human being behind this blog, who lives an imperfect but happy life with her husband and pup! So, I decided to introduce a blog series called Life, Adventures & Rosie! If this kind of post isn’t your thing, no big deal! But if you want to get to know me and Roo a little better, read on!
-Dustin passed his Series 7 exam for his new job! The Series 7 is basically a huge test that all investment consultants have to take before they can actually start…consulting. He was tested on a manual that was 700 pages long for over 6 hours! We were a little nervous because if he didn’t pass his test, he wouldn’t have been able to stay at his new job. But, he studied so hard these last two months and we can finally put the stress of it all behind us!
-Dustin, Rosie and I got our family portraits taken on Saturday! We got to meet up with Mandi from Nosh and Nurture and her husband and we traded photo shoots. It was so cool to meet another blogger in real life and to be able to talk shop. Plus Mandi’s husband did a great job with our photos and I loved getting to take theirs! Also, Dustin and I have to take this photo of us holding Rosie’s hands like she was our child. We are those dog people!

-I officially have put all of my Christmas decorations up (minus the tree) and I’m already dreading having to take them down in a month. I look forward to this time of year every year and then it never seems to last long enough.
-Um, Walmart officially has the cutest Christmas leggings in the world and I may or may not be going back to buy three more pairs today. Also, they are under 5 dollars, so I’ll take it.
-Trader Joe’s still has the Harvest Salsa in stock, so GET YOURS WHILE YOU CAN! I went and got another few jars today and may or may not have eaten one jar already. I can’t help it; it’s just too good for my taste buds. It’s seriously the best salsa I’ve ever had!
-Like I mentioned before, last week I got to catch a flight to Vegas and spend 3 days with my two best girlfriends from college. We had the best time shopping (every dang day) talking makeup and laughing until we were crying. Also, in case anyone was wondering, TJ Maxx is the best place to find incredible deals on high-end makeup (we found a ton of Butter London and even some Kat Von D)
-If you follow me on snapchat, you know that Dustin found a really nice dog bed out by the dumpster on Sunday. It wasn’t IN the dumpster, just in the area of it. It was clear someone was trying to get rid of it. Dustin brought it home and we were able to remove the cover and wash it really well. It’s a really nice dog bed; and Roo is OBSESSED with it. She’s been snuggling in it whenever she can and always brings a toy in there to sleep with.
-Rosie also seems to be feeling better and has gotten her appetite back from whatever bug she had about a week ago. I had literally made her an appointment for the vet and the day of, she woke up and gobbled down a whole bowl of food. I’m so glad she’s back to her normal self; I hated seeing her so miserable
-Rosie has become obsessed with all boxes we get in the mail because she thinks they are for her (we cancelled her Barkbox because she has TOO many nice toys from them that she can’t destroy and they are getting out of hand). When I put them down, she starts knocking them around with her nose to see if there is anything in them for her. What can I say, my mail addiction seems to have rubbed off.
In Case You Missed It:
Yesterday, I shared a little bit about my morning routine as a full-time blogger to start my day off right as a blog boss! I also shared my social media strategy checklist that I use every morning to keep me on track, focused and not in over my head! Want it?
What’s been going on in your life lately? Are you ready for Thanksgiving? Are your Christmas decorations up yet?
