March Goals
I used to be the kind of girl who set her goals at the beginning of the year and then kind of forgot about them. Last month was the first month I tried setting monthly goals, and by publishing them on my blog, I felt super accountable to try to achieve them. It worked out pretty well, so I’m going to continue setting monthly goals so I can continue to feel motivated!
Speaking of February goals, I pretty much rocked mine! I wanted to go on a soda fast, and I made it the WHOLE MONTH plus two days without my beloved Barq’s root beer. I gave myself a big cold glass of it yesterday, and you know what? It was sickeningly sweet! I drank the one glass and then had some water. I was so surprised that it didn’t taste as good as I remembered, but I guess it all makes sense! I also wanted to do two 30-day-shred workouts a week, and with our 8 week health challenge, I actually did 3-4 a week! I’ve lost five pounds and am seeing some results!
Blog wise, I wanted to gain sponsors and not only did I have some awesome sponsors in the month of February and made some great friendships, but my sponsorship program is starting to gain some traction! Be sure to check out the March sponsors in my side bar!
I wanted to try a subscription service and because I love mail, I ended up trying Stitch Fix and Rocksbox!
I also needed to step up my reading so I can reach my goal of 75 books by the end of the year! I did better then January (3 books) by reading 6! Hooray! Back on track!
March is my favorite month because it’s my birthday month! Also, it’s my GOLDEN birthday this month (I turn 25 on the 25th!) Here are my March goals I want to accomplish this month:
Lose 5 Pounds – I’ve already lost 5 pounds on my 8 week health challenge and that is just by simply changing my diet, cutting out soda and doing 3-4 20 minute workouts a week. I really think that if I step it up this month and work out a little more/longer and try to eat even better, I can reach my goal weight! Plus, with our 100 dollar incentive, I’ve got all the motivation in the world.
Step up my photography by doing two shoots this month – I recently got to do a maternity session for some friends of mine and I was so super nervous that my shots would look super amateur! I’m actually really pleased with how they came out and feel more confident in my skills then before. Scheduling two shoots this month will help me practice even more!
Up my game in Twitter- Currently my favorite social media platform. I want to participate in more twitter chats, get some more followers and be more engaged! Because goals need to have concrete measurements, I want to have 300 followers by the end of the month (currently at 255).
Get a storage unit / put a hitch on the car / get ready to move – Our new adventure is quickly approaching us! We need to get a storage unit, put a hitch on the car and pack everything up so we can move to California for the summer! I am so excited!
Those are my goals this month. With moving and packing, I didn’t want to give myself too much on my plate, so hopefully I’ll be able to accomplish them all without going crazy.
