Five for Friday

I love lists and alliteration. So, here is a list of five things to celebrate Friday!

one: Rosie has decided that she is a big girl now and doesn’t need to ride in the back seat of the car. She now sits in the front seat just like a passenger and stares out the window. Rosie is the perfect errand buddy and I love that she doesn’t treat me like a chauffeur anymore. And seriously, how adorable is this little girl? 

two: Speaking of my golden girl, Rosie’s new favorite thing to do is to stare out our bedroom window. The ledge is the perfect height for her chin to rest on while she stares out at all of the people and cars that pass by. We have started leaving the blinds pulled up in the morning before going to work and I always leave her looking out the window and come home to her looking out the window. So easily entertained, this girl of ours. 

three: Please excuse this crappy quality iPhone picture. This is my husband. Isn’t he cute? We took this at a fancy dinner party for his work down in Utah a few weeks ago. We ate at a Brazilian grill called Tacanos. The servers walk around with giant skewers of meat and just chop off chunks for you, just like that. I realize that sounds kind of primal, but it’s seriously the best food I’ve had in a really long long time and I’d be in big trouble if we had a Tacanos close to us. Anyway, I’m really proud of this guy and the amazing things he is accomplishing at his job, especially because it comes with free dinners. Nom Nom Nom.

four: this coin counting machine at the new ICCU in town. I’ve never used one before and after using it yesterday to count all our spare change, I’m convinced these things are the best invention to happen to me after bread machines and Christmas lights. Laundry money for the next month: done.

five: I confess that I’m a little too excited for Christmas. I’ve started listening to my Christmas Pandora station and put up Christmas lights around my kitchen. I made a Christmas craft yesterday (look for a blog post about it soon!) and bought a Charlie Brown’s Christmas at Wal-mart to watch on December 1st. I may have even asked D if we could go drag our tree out of our storage unit, to which he flatly refused, and probably for good reason…but still. I love Christmas.
