October Goals
I can’t believe that a month ago, I was writing about how excited I was to leave Summer behind and how hopeful I was for September. Dustin and I had a huge move ahead of us, a new job to start and a new state to learn and I am so glad to say that September lived up to my expectations and beyond. Yes, moving is stressful and exhausting, but it is so incredibly amazing to finally be back with my husband in our own space, starting a new adventure in Arizona. September, I’m sad to see you go, but let’s be real:
October is probably my second favorite month of the year, (followed by December because #christmasmusic). If I had it my way, I would have it just repeat September-December all year long. Before I set my goals for October, here’s how I did on my goals from September.
Blog/Hit 1K on Twitter – Success! I am sitting at 1150 followers and I’m loving connecting through Twitter with all my follow bloggers and brands!
Blog/Amp up my Pinterest Game – I’ve gained 300 followers since the end of August, have worked on pinning more consistently and have started to see an increase of traffic from Pinterest! Yes! I can’t wait to continue this with Pintober through #passionproject.
Blog/Organize myself – I finally have my own office/work space and vanity area, complete with Christmas lights and these AMAZING Harry Potter posters/art work.
When full the gleaming moon becomes, something wicked this way comes
Read/3 Books – By some Christmas miracle, I got Dustin to listen to two audio books while we were on our move and I’m pages away from finishing my third! I’ll call that a success.
Personal/Decorate our home – I realize this will be a work in progress, but I loved putting together this little autumnal center piece for our kitchen table
Personal/Reconnect with Dustin – I mentioned it in this post that Dustin and I had a great long weekend reconnecting when he first got to NH, and I’m happy to report that it’s only gone up from there. Granted, we’ve been in the car A LOT together for our move, and by working on the Billion Dinner’s challenge, we’ve been sitting down almost every night and connecting over dinner!
September was a super successful month! Here are my goals for October:
Blog/Get to 1K followers on Pinterest- My next platform to conquer the 1K followers on
Blog/Maintain pageviews – The move kind of put a dent in my pageviews this month, so I want to be consistent in providing quality posts and getting my pageviews back to where they were in August!
Blog/Celebrate my 6 month blogiversary-I’ve got some great plans to celebrate, including a redesign, an awesome giveaway and some great blog-oriented posts!
Read/3 Books-I also want to make sure I take the time each night to read before going to bed; I want to work on cutting down my screen time before going to sleep!
Personal/Cook 5 meals a week- This seems hefty, especially since I’m cooking gluten free for next month (Dustin’s dietary needs require gluten cleanses), but now that I have my own kitchen and all my own pots and pans again, I haven’t had a problem with not wanting to cook! I’m excited about it! And I want to keep that up!
Personal/Take Rosie to dog park 3x a week until we make a friend- Dog parks can be a great place to bring your dog to socialize, but when irresponsible dog owners come and bring dangerous dogs, it can be dangerous to to others. Rosie and I had an unfortunate run-in last week with some irresponsible dog owners at a dog park. I want to keep bringing Rosie to the dog park (in the morning when there are only a few dogs around) so that we can make some dog friends here that we can start playing in a safer, more secure area. I know that’s kind of contradicting, but I promise it makes sense.
What are your goals this month? Do you love October as much as I do?
