Thanks to Babbleboxx.com for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions and thoughts presented are entirely my own. Thanks for supporting Hey There, Chelsie! If you've been around here for a while, you might know that Valentine's Day holds some significant meaning to me, as it marks the anniversary off finishing my first chemotherapy treatment 13 years ago. For a while, Valentine's Day was hard for me because it brought back some pretty rough memories but I've worked hard to change how I felt about Valentine's Day over the last few years. Now, instead of using Valentine's Day as an excuse to feel sad about what I went through, I use it as an excuse to celebrate . . .
It's no secret that Dustin and I have been working really hard at changing our lifestyles for the last year and, I'm proud to say, we've been really successful in just that: lifestyle changes. Two years ago, we found ourselves both at our heaviest weight, with Dustin recovering from a very scary emergency gallbladder removal surgery while traveling for my sister's wedding. It scared us both. We realized that we had developed a lot of habits that were resulting in our bodies feeling pretty crummy and not performing the way we wanted them to. So, we set out to make changes that would actually stick and would slowly, but surely, give us the results we wanted: feeling . . .
Rounding up five of the best everyday red lipsticks found at the drugstore, including the best Maybelline red lipstick! This list also features red lipstick from Almay, Pixi by Petra, and Covergirl. Read on if you want to discover some of the best cheap matte liquid lipstick! Valentine's Day is right around the corner (wait, what? wasn't it just Christmas time?) and it's time to find that perfect shade of red lipstick to rock. While I have a few favorite high-end lipstick brands, I truly feel that drugstore brands have some of the best lipstick formulas on the market and you cannot go wrong with the price (especially if red is a color you'll only wear once in a . . .
I’ve partnered with the Dove team for today's post - all opinions are my own. Thanks for supporting the brands that support HTC. Well, it's no secret to my Instagram family that I've been on one heck of a skin journey over the last few months. I went from having the best/clearest skin of my adult life to having the worst skin of my whole life in general. Painful cystic acne, uneven skin tone and texture, and dry patches everywhere. As a self-proclaimed beauty-junkie, it's been frustrating and a bit scary to have my skin have this kind of meltdown of epic proportions. I've been worried I would have to get rid of all my favorite makeup and haircare products and . . .
*affiliates Last year, instead of doing a "best of beauty post," I put together a very extensive list of my absolute favorite beauty products and recommendations and titles it: "40 Beauty Products to Try in 2018." I did NOT expect it to take off the way that it did. It's been shared thousands of times on Pinterest, referred to frequently by the HTC community, and became a one-stop shop for anyone looking for a solid recommendation on what product to add to their beauty collection. So, it only made sense to sit down and create the same type of post for this year. Without further ado, here are my top 40 beauty products that I TRULY tested out through 2018 and . . .
Affiliate links used - thanks for supporting HTC! <3 Last week, when I asked from some holiday content ideas on Instagram to help me get back into the swing of things in terms of writing on HTC, I got an overwhelming amount of request for holiday makeup looks and tutorials. My heart was all a-flutter because nothing lights me up quite like a pretty makeup look and sharing it with you all! I sat down to create this look with no real idea of what I wanted to do, minus the fact that I wanted a bold red lip and I wanted to dig into the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry palette. Since I was planning on going bold with the lip, I wanted to do something a bit . . .
This post was sponsored by adidas. All opinions are my own. Thanks for supporting the brands that support HTC. For the last twelve years of my life, I've been told to be careful. Be careful not to over-do it, to not be too active, to not do activities that involve long distances or high impact or anything that could risk irreversible damage to my reconstructed left leg. Combine with the chronic pain from a total left knee replacement on a donor bone, the energy capacity of a teaspoon and a bitter resentment towards a body that betrayed me by growing a tumor in the first place, I was convinced I would never be healthy or strong again and that any type of exercise . . .
Affiliate Links Currently snuggled in my bed with my doodle-toodle, watching Netflix's newest chick-flick "Sierra Burgess is a Loser" because I cannot get enough of Noah Centineo after watching "To All The Boys I've Ever Loved." Jury's still out on if it's as good as "Too All The Boys" but it's definitely a contender so far. Also, speaking of Juries...I got my first Jury Summons last week and I was freaking out because we just finished watching The Staircase (also on Netflix.) Thankfully, they filled the jury before I had to go in, so phew...but still. A little nerve-wracking to say the least. Anyway, a while back, Sadie and I shot a bunch of hair tutorials . . .
affiliate links It's seriously the best time of the year. September is here tomorrow and that means fall will be here at the end of the month. That means cooler weather and sweaters and cozy joggers and ALL the pumpkin scented candles. That means the holidays are also going to be here super soon (already started listening to Christmas music this week and I'm NOT sorry about it.) September also means that the BEST beauty sale is coming around again: Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty!! It feels like it was just yesterday when I was sitting down to write out my guide to the March sale, but here we are, 6 months later and gearing up for the next one! Ulta’s 21 Days of . . .
This post was sponsored by adidas. All opinions are my own. I know, I've already complained about the fact that we don't have central air in my house about 10 times in the last week, but hey. It's freaking hot in Utah and not having central air is ROUGH. We thankfully have a window unit installed in our room so we can sleep in the cool air, but the rest of the house stays nice and toasty all day long. In fact, by the time the sun goes down, it's about 15 degrees warmer inside the house then it is outside the house. The heat makes it basically impossible to turn the oven on in my house or want to cook over the stove, so Dustin and I do a lot (and I mean A LOT) . . .
Affiliate links used at no cost to you. Thanks for supporting HTC! If you were hanging out with me on Instagram Stories this weekend, you probably saw the ridiculous state my makeup vanity was in on Friday night. The term "hot mess" has never been more accurately used then when referring to what it looked like. I spent the whole night going through every drawer in my vanity, throwing out all the old makeup, organizing all my good makeup, and finding surprising little treasures, like a half-eaten piece of chocolate and some command hook strips. You know, cause clearly my makeup vanity is the best place to store those kinds of things (insert eye-rolling emoji . . .
Affiliate links used in this post at no cost to you - thank you for supporting HTC! It's official. I'm declaring this the summer of the hair scarf or hair bandana or headband. Whatever you want to call them, I'm declaring it the summer of that. It's no secret that wearing headbands and bows and scarves in my hair has been something I've been a huge fan of for years, so I'm thrilled that it's becoming such a trend. I remember when my hair started growing back in after chemo and it was still too short to do anything, so my mom got me a pack of baby bow headbands and that's all I wore for months. It was SO fun to have something to wear in my hair again and it . . .
