It's freaking hot in Utah and not having central air is ROUGH. We thankfully have a window unit installed in our room so we can sleep in the cool air, but the rest of the house stays nice and toasty all day long. In fact, by the time the sun goes down, it's about 15 degrees warmer inside the house then it is outside the house. The heat makes it basically impossible to turn the oven on in my house or want to cook over the stove, so Dustin and I do a lot (and I mean A LOT) . . .

If you were hanging out with me on Instagram Stories this weekend, you probably saw the ridiculous state my makeup vanity was in on Friday night. The term "hot mess" has never been more accurately used then when referring to what it looked like. I spent the whole night going through every drawer in my vanity, throwing out all the old makeup, organizing all my good makeup, and finding surprising little treasures, like a half-eaten piece of chocolate and some command hook strips. You know, cause clearly my makeup vanity is the best place to store those kinds of things (insert eye-rolling emoji . . .
Affiliate links used in this post at no cost to you - thank you for supporting HTC! It's official. I'm declaring this the summer of the hair scarf or hair bandana or headband. Whatever you want to call them, I'm declaring it the summer of that. It's no secret that wearing headbands and bows and scarves in my hair has been something I've been a huge fan of for years, so I'm thrilled that it's becoming such a trend. I remember when my hair started growing back in after chemo and it was still too short to do anything, so my mom got me a pack of baby bow headbands and that's all I wore for months. It was SO fun to have something to wear in my hair again and it . . .

If you've been following me on Instagram stories over the past month, you'll know that I recently had a huge revelation/breakthrough in regards to the way I view myself and my body. I've been on a serious journey this year to become healthier and to take care of my body as best I can - something that I've struggled with for 12 years, ever since I was first diagnosed with cancer. I've gone through ebbs and flows of focusing on wellness in my life but I always seemed to get derailed. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't just STICK to a plan and I've been doing a LOT of self-reflection and working . . .
I've been doing this thing where I set quarterly goals for my blog/business. Every quarter, I pick a prize to work towards and if I hit those goals, I can treat myself to my prize with no guilt. And these prizes are good prizes, too - they are things that I have always wanted but would never buy on my own on a regular Tuesday. They are reaching prizes - and I'm so so proud of myself for hitting ALL of my quarter one goals and being able to treat myself to my prize with no guilt: hair extensions! I've had clip-in hair extensions before and they were nice and a great place to start off in the hair extension world. This time, though, I wanted to go all out and get . . .
You know, I really couldn't believe that it was April but today as I was driving home for lunch, I realized that all the trees in our neighborhood are starting to bloom so it really MUST BE APRIL! I'm so excited warmer weather is on the way, although I'm nervous about how dry our winter has been here in Utah. We seriously only got one serious snowstorm this year, which means our snowpack is low in the mountains. Everyone is saying out summer is going to be HOT this year. We're trying super duper hard to save up and put central air in the house before June comes, but I'm not sure if we'll be able to swing it this year. Fingers crossed. Anyway, I wanted to take a . . .

All opinions are my own We're about to get personal here - but hey, that's what this blog is for: to be a friend, a pal, a "been there, done that" type of gal in your life to help you navigate the waters of living a bold, vibrant life. So, let's just call out the elephant in the room (or blog?) and talk about it: lip care. Specifically: Cold sores. Yeah. I went there. You might be cringing. You might be thinking "Heyyyy there, Chelsie. That is just a little too yucky for my morning reading." But I believe in keeping it real over here and that means discussing the good, the bad, and the ugly. Now that the weather . . .
*Affiliate links used in this post at no cost to you. Thanks for supporting HTC It's the most wonderful time of the yearrrrrrr! One of my FAVORITE events to use an excuse to treat myself starts TOMORROW and after trying out so many of the products that are going to be on sale this year, I knew I had to share what information I could with everyone else who wants to take advantage of the amazing sales. Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty is a semi-annual event (held in the spring and fall) where they mark down a ton of high-end products for one day (usually 50% off or more.) Every day has a new sale on a new product and there are "hot buys" for the whole 21 days, where . . .
*Affiliate Links St. Patrick's Day has never really been my thing, but I always smile when it comes around because it means two things: One: My birthday is coming up soon Two: Spring will be here before we know it. So, for those two reasons alone, I've decided to give St. Patrick's Day a little more love and acknowledgment this year and create a simple but fun makeup look to rock for that day. I was inspired by my new Morphe Jewel Tone palette (which I hauled recently in a massive Ulta order on Instagram live) which has a beautiful gold shadow named "Fool's Gold." I knew that this shade would be the star of the look and used that shadow as the base for . . .
“This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #CleanFaceWithEquate http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV” Once or twice a week, I get on Instagram Stories to share a beauty product while I'm getting ready in the morning for work. Without fail, every time I start my story I say: "I'm running late for work, but I wanted to show you this product real quick." It seems like no matter how much sleep I get or how early I get up, I'm still always running late. I really think it's been harder since I made the transition back to full-time work - instead of going to work for a couple hours, I . . .
This post has been sponsored by the PRIMP Network. All opinions are my own. February has literally flown by (I really think losing those two extra days makes it go by so much faster!) and I wanted to hop on and fine-tune a blog series so I can consistently share some of my favorite things that I think are worth noting and possibly be purchasing! Introducing "A Few of my Favorite Things" - which will be a monthly series where I wrap up some of my favorite products, discoveries, and reads that I loved that month! Favorite Things | February: Sudara Robe - This was sent to me last month and I was absolutely honored to be given it and to wear it. I've been . . .

Seek the advice of a professional before changing your diet. About a year ago, I shared this post about my health journey and how I wanted to get serious about taking care of my body. I started getting serious, but, as it always happens, I let my knee replacement become my excuse and gave up again. It's really easy to say "I can't workout because of my knee." The truth, though, is that I can work out - I just can't do the workouts I want to without risking injury to my leg or . . .
