I know, I know. Many of you requested a more simple Valentine's Day makeup tutorial. And I swear, I had all the plans and intentions on doing a simple makeup look. But then, I got the new Stila Glitter and Glo eyeshadow and I don't know what happened. Before I knew it, I had this rather dramatic, glittery pink smokey eye look and I loved it so much that I've recreated it at least 5 times. And then, when I shared a shot of it on my Instagram, the response was OVERWHELMINGLY positive. Ya'll wanted a tutorial! Soooo, here goes. Also, please enjoy the various faces that come with shooting a makeup tutorial - I'm convinced there's just no way to take flattering photos . . .
I was going through Christmas Movie withdrawals last month SO BADLY. I kept sitting down and turning on Netflix thinking about watching a Cheesy Christmas movie and then realizing with such deep sadness that Christmas is OVER and I have to wait at least 6 months until it's socially acceptable to start watching Christmas movies again. (Yes, I start getting ready for Christmas in July and I'm not sorry about it.) So, in the absence of the wonderful cheesy goodness of The Christmas Prince, I decided to embark on a Valentine's Day Movie adventure. I've been watching ALL the rom-coms that Netflix has to offer over the last couple weeks and feel like I have thoroughly . . .
DISCLOSURE - I am not a medical professional and this is not medical advice - these are just tips and tricks suggested by the HTC community. Please consult a doctor if you are dealing with serious migraine issues! It's been quite a week (and if you follow me on Instagram and watch my stories, you know what I'm talking about.) If you haven't been hanging out on my stories (shameless plug-please come hang out in my stories, they are currently my favorite and I absolutely love being able to talk to you guys in my DM's,) here's a 10-word recap of what's been going on: In the last month, I've had a lot of migraines. Like, at least 5. It's been . . .
*affiliate links I love seeing everyone's "best of beauty 2017" posts, but every time I read one, I find myself thinking that since those products came out in 2017, I shouldn't spend money on them since something better is bound to be released in 2018. I realize that isn't really a logical thought pattern because it takes me months of trying out a product before I feel comfortable recommending it to you all. That being said, I wanted to share my top 40 beauty products that I TRULY tested out through 2017 and that I feel 100% comfortable recommending to you. Some of these products were sent to me in PR, most of them I bought myself, and I truly feel like I've got . . .
This post has been sponsored by the PRIMP Network. All opinions are my own. It's no secret that I've been on a journey (a long one, at that) to learning how to love myself and my body again. For a long time, I felt very pretty dang betrayed by my body and had a very hard time coming to grips with the fact that it would never be the same again. Cancer has a funny way of staying with you like that, even 11 years later. October is a rough month for me - it's the month I celebrate my remission anniversary, but it is also the month I lost one of my closest friends from my hospital floor, Maddie. To say that the survivor's guilt is heavy is an understatement. So, as . . .

A few month ago, I wrote this post and talked about how I was finally committed to getting healthier and taking care of my body like it deserved to be treated. I’ll be honest - it hasn’t been easy. I mean, I knew it wouldn’t be, but I was so determined to make permanent lifestyle changes that I would be able to push through the hard times more easily than before. Although it that I think my motivation has come and gone through the last few months. There would be weeks at a time where I would be eating well I realized that . . .
This post has been sponsored by the PRIMP Network. All opinions are my own I know I've talked about this before, but over the last year and a half, my skin has done a complete 360 turn on me and it's been super frustrating, to say the least. I very rarely had to deal with acne besides the occasional little pimple, but ever since our move to Louisiana, my skin has just thrown a fit about pretty much everything. I've been dealing with a lot of painful, cystic acne, uneven skin tone, and texture. It's definitely been a shot to my confidence at times and really frustrating because I haven't been able to fix it overnight. However, over the last 6 months, I have . . .
Soooo funny story. I filmed this video before we closed on our house/moved into it. Which means this footage is over 4 months old...*insert monkey emoji with hands over face.* I wasn't going to post this at all, but after sitting down and looking through the footage, I realized that all the information/first impressions are still accurate and hopefully helpful. So, even though a lot of these products were released in the spring (or have been around a little longer) they are still available to purchase now and I hope that this information will help you e.l.f. cosmetics is one of THE most affordable makeup brands out there. When I first started getting into makeup, . . .

This past weekend, Dustin and I have been working our bums off to give my beauty room/office a major overhaul and redesign. If you've been around HTC for a while, you'll know that the previous owners of our new house decided to paint all the walls this awful tan color with green undertones. After consulting with my Instagram Fam on stories, I finally committed to a paint color for my office and I can HAPPILY say that the yucky color is gone! My office is starting to really come together and I've been spending all week organizing my desk and vanity, hanging shelves, and . . .
***Affiliate Links may be used in this post at no extra cost to you! It's been quite some time since I sat down and shared my favorite products as of late, so I'm stoked to be sharing some today. Since it has been so long, I can say that I've been using all of these products for over 2 months (minus my hat, which I just picked up) so I have really put these things to the test. I love trying new things out and sharing my thoughts because I know how overwhelming it can be to try to figure out what products to buy/put your money into. Hopefully, I can help out in that department just a bit! I usually have a fail product to share as well, but I really couldn't . . .
*This post has been sponsored by the PRIMP Network. All Opinions are my own. I was really excited to see so many requests come in from my recent reader survey for more makeup reviews and tutorials. I've talked before about how makeup has become a huge creative outlet for me; I've never been crafty, but I somehow can make colors blend together pretty well on my face. Anyway, I'm excited to bring a makeup tutorial and review to the blog today. Suzanne Somers Cosmetics Today, I'm going to be reviewing the Suzanne Somers cosmetic line Suzanne Organics, along with sharing the step-by-step process I took to create this easy & effortless summery makeup look. You . . .
When I was going through the process of being diagnosed, the one thing that my dad kept saying to EVERY doctor we saw was: “Besides her leg hurting, she is as healthy as a horse!” It was a little annoying to hear him say repeatedly because clearly, something was wrong with my leg. But, looking back at it now, I don't blame him because he was right. Because, back before cancer entered my life and tore apart my body, I was pretty dang fit. I was almost 16 years old, I was an active soccer player and marching in the high school band every weekend. I ate relatively well, I could run a fast mile, I was at a decent weight, and I rarely got sick. I was pretty dang . . .
