Snickerdoodles Recipe
Since Rosie came into our lives, the opportunity to make friends has been endless. When you have a dog, I have learned, you are automatically privileged to walk up to anyone else who has a dog to say hello and let your dogs meet. Rosie started making puppy friends and we started meeting up with their owners so all the puppies could play. It started out as a social time for the pups, but as the summer wore on, we became really good friends with all of the dogs’ owners. This may seem sad, but we have more friends now then we did a year ago! We see them on a daily basis so that the dogs can all play, and we even do things together outside of puppy play-dates!
Anyway, last night we got together with a bunch of our dog owner friends for games and dessert. I wanted to bring some cookies but didn’t want to bring the typical chocolate chip ones. Don’t get me wrong, I love me a good chocolate chip cookie, but I always make them. So, I decided I would try to make homemade snickerdoodles. I usually make them out of a mix, but I was feeling daring yesterday!
They came out SO good! I am never going back to a mix again! I was surprised at how easy they were and how soft and chewy they came out. These snickerdoodles are designed to be bigger and thinner, but if you wanted them to be a little thicker, you can add a little more flour.
